		<description>A lot of the resistance to social media inside the organization revolves around two fears: controlling the message and saying bad things.

Firm management likes to use the intranet as way to say good things and create the firm brand. Of course just saying something does not make it true.

People say bad thing. They say them in the elevator, on the phone, in email, etc. Social media does not change that.  The bad things become more findable in social media.  But that is the good part of social media.  You can find things and link to thinks.  Bad thing are findable, but so is all of the really good information.  Since the bad things are findable, you can also easily address the person and the issue.
